DIRECT OBJECT PRONOUN

Direct objects receive the action of a verb in a sentence. It replaces that noun. Just like personal (subject) pronouns replace the subject noun in a sentence, direct object pronouns replace the direct object noun in a sentence which can be a person or a thing.
 Examples:
•Yo te amo. (I love you)
•Yo lo veo. (I see him)
• Roberto dibuja una mesa. (Roberto draws a table). Roberto la dibuja.
• María tiene la bandera. (María has the flag). María la tiene.
•Mis alumnos pintan  dos casas. (My students paint two houses). Mis estudiantes las pintan.
